O Porriño, October 30, 2025.– AIMEN continues its steady progress on the construction of its new Advanced and Sustainable Manufacturing Centre, having already reached 45% completion.
In recent weeks, a significant milestone has been achieved: the installation of the prefabricated concrete panels that form the building's enclosure and the completion of the roof, allowing the project to move to the next phase.
The site development and structural work are currently in their final stages.
AIMEN's new Advanced and Sustainable Manufacturing Centre stands as a strategic space for the development of innovative production technologies focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and industrial digitization.
Furthermore, in 2025, AIMEN acquired a range of equipment that has equipped the center with capabilities for developing new additive manufacturing processes, laser-based material processing, and advanced materials characterization, among others.
With a total investment of €6.4 million, the project is 50% subsidized by the Galician Innovation Agency (Axencia Galega de Innovación) of the Xunta de Galicia and co-financed by the European Union through the FEDER funds, within the framework of the programme to support the strengthening and expansion of the capacities of Galician technology centres. The remaining 50% will be financed with AIMEN's own funds.
