El curso será impartido en inglés.Objetivos
- Understand the possibilities brought by laser-based Additive Manufacturing technology for large and complex metal parts
- Learn about the full workflow of DED processes within robotized systems
- Identify the most used metallic materials and understand their metallurgical behavior in additive processes
- Acquiring practical awareness of the pros and cons of such advanced additive manufacturing and laser welding processes
Programa
1. Lecture Additive Manufacturing Workflow: Overview of the full DED-based additive manufacturing process, from CAD design and toolpath generation to printing and post-processing of large metal parts.
2. Demo 1 – Laser Powder Directed Energy Deposition: Live demonstration of powder-based DED technology, including powder preparation, process visualization and interaction with multi-material demonstrators.
3. Demo 2 – Laser Beam Welding: Demonstration of laser beam welding, focusing on the influence of different laser parameters when working with metal alloys.
4. Demo 3 – Hybrid Laser Powder DED:Introduction to hybrid manufacturing systems combining additive DED and subtractive machining in a robotized solution.
