Obtener una idea global del uso de las aleaciones de aluminio en el sector automoción, como material ligero y resistente a la corrosión.
Conocer el comportamiento mecánico y la importancia de los procesos de unión para una vida en servicio eficiente y duradera.

La importancia de la selección y diseño adecuados. Ajustar las propiedades al uso.
El aluminio y sus aleaciones.
Aplicaciones al sector automoción: aleaciones más habituales y la importancia de su microestructura, comportamiento mecánico (fractura, fatiga, influencia de la temperatura) y frente a la corrosión, los procesos de unión.
